Privacy Policy — Fishermen AI

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Fishermen AI mobile app (“Fishermen AI,” “we,” “us”) collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We built Fishermen AI on a simple principle: collect only what the app needs to work, and be clear about it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we use a third-party authentication provider (Clerk) to store your email address and sign-in credentials.
Content you create. Catches you log, map pins you drop, and notes you save are stored so they sync to your account.
Photos. When you use catch identification, the photo you take or choose is sent for analysis to return a species result. We do not use your photos to advertise to you.
Location. With your permission, we use your device location to show the bite forecast, waters, and coaching for where you are. You can deny or revoke this in your device settings.
Subscription status. Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive your subscription status (active, expired, trial) to unlock features, but never your card details.
Basic usage & diagnostics. We may collect limited, aggregated app-performance data to fix bugs and improve reliability.

How we use your information

We use the information above to provide and operate the app’s features, sync your data across sessions, process your subscription, and improve performance. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the app, including Clerk (authentication), Supabase (data storage), Apple (in-app purchases), and AI services used to power catch identification. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.

Your choices

You can revoke location and photo permissions in your device settings at any time.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data (see Contact).
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

Data retention & security

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

Fishermen AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
